Reviver Surpasses 90,000 Remote Vehicle Registration Renewals Through RPLATE

RPLATE allows drivers to avoid lines at the DMV and renew their vehicle registration through Reviver’s mobile app.

GRANITE BAY, Calif., Oct.1, 2026 -- Reviver, creator of the RPLATE, the world's first DMV-approved digital license plate, has processed more than 90,000 vehicle registration renewals and $70 million in DMV fees on behalf of customers through its connected platform, the company announced today.

Those renewals span more than 50,000 vehicles in California and Arizona, with many drivers and fleets now returning to renew through Reviver year after year.¹

Why it matters

Instead of physically renewing registration in person, customers can renew remotely through the Reviver App and automatically sync their RPLATE with the updated tag. For drivers, that means less paperwork, no DMV visit, and no waiting for a sticker to arrive in the mail. Additionally, businesses that manage fleets can renew multiple vehicles from one dashboard without having to mail stickers to drivers or track down vehicles to apply them.

Fast facts¹:

  • Average renewal fee: $764
  • Highest single-vehicle total: $12.2K, for a Ferrari.
  • Businesses renewing through Reviver: 3,854
  • Record day: 156 renewals on December 1, 2025

What they’re saying

"Registration renewal is one of the few car-ownership chores that hasn't changed in decades. You wait for a notice, wait in line or on hold, then wait for a sticker. Ninety thousand renewals tells us drivers and fleets are ready to stop waiting," said Andrew Iorgulescu, CEO of Reviver. "Our in-app vehicle registration process is built for how people actually live.”

A fleet use case: SimpleCar

Used-vehicle subscription company SimpleCar adopted the Reviver platform to handle a growing registration workload without mailing stickers to customers or relying on them to install the tags. SimpleCar expanded from 10 digital plates to 75, equipping its entire fleet at the time.

With Reviver’s dashboard, SimpleCar could renew registrations across its fleet in one transaction and have the digital tags update automatically, avoiding the need to hire additional staff to handle renewals.²

Bottom line

Vehicle registration renewal is one of the first everyday tasks Reviver has taken off drivers' plates, but it's unlikely to be the last. As more states authorize digital license plates and more vehicles carry them, a lot of the routine work of owning and operating a vehicle can happen automatically in the background.
